Happy Thanksgiving 2011

I cannot believe that it’s Thanksgiving already. This year has just flown by! I realize that I do have a lot to be thankful for, including the successful debut of my first novel, Bloodspell, which came out in June. I am incredibly grateful to all of the people who bought and loved my book. Thank you so much for your thoughts and your reviews, and for making my dream a reality.

But mostly, I’m thankful for my family and my friends and for all those who tirelessly support me in my endeavors. You know who you are – I couldn’t have done any of this without you. You’re all a huge positive force in my life, and one that I’m so very grateful for.

I’m especially thankful for all the little things life brings my way – like a perfect fall morning or a smile from my children or a phone call from a childhood friend. Life has a way of giving when you need it the most, I’ve realized. It may not be what you want … but typically, it’s what you need, even if you may not understand it right then.

It’s funny how life is in constant movement. One minute isn’t the same as the last, and things can change in the blink of an eye. Take the time to appreciate and hold on to all the good things in your life right now. Don’t think about what you don’t have, think about all that you DO have, and be thankful because you never know where life is going to take you next. Treasure each intake of breath, every second your eyes get to see beauty, each moment of life as it comes to you. It’s a gift.

Happy Thanksgiving!
