New Book Deal Announcement!

I am SO thrilled to finally be able to announce TWO AMAZING things: my writing partnership with the fabulous Angie Morgan (also known as Page Morgan, Young Adult author of the Dispossessed series) AND our 3-book deal to Entangled Publishing for our adult historical romance series, THE LORDS OF ESSEX!!! The first book, entitled MY ROGUE, MY RUIN, will release this fall!!! *throws ALL the confetti*

Some history. Angie and I started writing MRMR as a means of escapism. We both love historical romance. I’m a huge fan of Judith McNaught, Julie Garwood, and Lisa Kleypas, to name a few. My library has lots of worn copies of these authors’ books. A couple years ago, Angie and I decided to write one story just for fun, and we found that we loved it. We looked forward to it so much. Angie once described reading what had been added to our shared document as waking up and finding that little holiday elves had been at work. She was exactly right! And the bonus was that it rejuvenated our love of writing and our creativity in our solo projects, too! After a few months, we had a book. And we sent it out to a few beta readers who loved it. Then our agents took it out to the market and the rest is history! I am SO in love with this series and hope you will be, too!

Here is the official PM announcement:

MRMR Deal Announcement

Fiction: Women’s/Romance
Co-authors Amalie Howard and Angie Morgan’s MY ROGUE, MY RUIN, pitched as a regency Robin Hood romance, as part of the LORDS OF ESSEX SERIES, to Alethea Spiridon at Entangled, in a three-book deal, by Liza Fleissig at Liza Royce Agency for Amalie Howard and Ted Malawer at Upstart Crow Literary for Angie Morgan.

Here’s the blurb:

MY ROGUE, MY RUIN

The Marquess of Hawksfield is no gentleman. His lineage is impeccable and his title coveted, but Archer Croft is as far from his indulgent peers as he can get. His loathing for the beau monde has driven him to don a secret identity and risk everything in order to steal their riches and distribute them to the less fortunate.

Lady Briannon Findlay is no longer the sickly girl she once was. Defying her mother’s stringent rules, she embraces her encounter with the Masked Marauder, a gentleman thief waylaying carriages from London to Essex. The marauder has stirred Brynn’s craving for adventure, and she discovers an attraction that goes much deeper than the charming thief’s mask.

Brynn is a revelation, matching Archer in intelligence, wit, and fiery passion. Stubborn and sensuous in equal measure, she astonishes him at every turn—astride a horse, in a ballroom, in his arms, and above all, when she uncovers his deepest secret. But when someone sinister impersonates Archer’s secret personality, and a murder is committed, soon Archer begins to think he doesn’t stand a fighting chance without her.
