Sorry about being absent for a while there, peeps. But after the amazing YA Scavenger Hunt (Congrats, awesome winners!) I went on vacation with my family down to Universal Studios in Orlando FL. I got a breakfast invitation to dine at the fantabulous Three Broomsticks in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, and could not refuse. Especially since I planned to drown myself to vats and vats of Butterbeer, which I did. And it was GOOOOOOOD.
I won’t bore you with all the details but I’ll just post a few photos here for your enjoyment. It was a trip that I’ll always treasure … just because I’m a huge fan of Harry Potter, and it was so magical seeing everything in “real” life. I’m talking about the enchanted ceiling in Hogwarts, the Pensieve, Dumbledore’s quarters, the Village of Hogsmeade, Ollivander’s (my son was chosen to receive a wand or as he says, the wand chose him!), the Book of Monsters, The Three Broomsticks, the Girls’ bathroom haunted by Moaning Myrtle, Zonko’s, the Hogwart’s Express, Hagrid’s cottage, the Tri-Wizard’s Cup, and seeing Buckbeak. Those were just a few of the uber-special moments when things and places from the book became reality. Everything else, like the awesome Harry Potter-themed roller coasters, rides, and food, were just a bonus.
