Historical Romance Authors Trick-or-Treat Hop

Hello, friends!

Welcome to the Historical Authors Trick-or-Treat Hop, where you can hop to all the various author sites, collect the yummy candy from each author, and enter to win a $150 gift card!

For those of you who don’t know me, I’m the author of several books, including the #1 bestseller BLOODSPELL and the IPPY award winning BLOODCRAFT in my witch/vampire series; WATERFELLOCEANBORN, and SEAMONSTER in my twist-on-mermaids series; THE ALMOST GIRL and THE FALLEN PRINCE in my parallel universe science fiction series; and the Spring 2014 Kids’ Indie Next Pick ALPHA GODDESS and DARK GODDESS in my Hindu mythology series.

I am also the author of the best-selling THE BEAST OF BESWICK and co-author of the steamy historical romance series: the LORDS OF ESSEX and the TARTANS & TITANS series.

One of my favorite things about Halloween (besides the CANDY that I steal off my children) is dressing up. Here’s one of my favorites from a couple years ago when my daughter and I were channeling Gryffindor and Slytherin. No surprise that I am Slytherin…

So onto HOP goodies!! Now, I love all the candy. I have so many favorites, but I wanted to showcase one that wasn’t typical. This is an Australian chocolate-coated biscuit sandwich (my husband is Aussie) and I am ADDICTED. Technically, it’s not candy, BUT IT’S CHOCOLATE, so win!! I’m not even kidding, it’s so good. I’ve seen it in some local grocery stores here in the States, so let me know if you’ve ever tried it!

While you’re here with me, be sure to enter the personal contest I’m hosting below for a chance to win a $30 Amazon gift card. Happy Halloween, my friends!

Contest is international (you must be able to accept an Amazon GC gifted from the US, if not, I am happy to buy you your choice of book(s) from Book Depository in the listed prize amount).

a Rafflecopter giveaway

Once you collect all the candy, e-mail your list (Author – Candy) to Heather at Heather@HeatherMcCollum.com by 11:59 PM ET on Saturday, October 31st to be entered into our big giveaway. Put “Historical Romance is Sweet” in the subject line.On Sunday, November 1st, a random winner will be drawn from those who have completed the hop and turned in their correct lists. The winner will be posted on the Historical Romance Authors Trick-or-Treat Facebook and on Heather’s FB page (https://www.facebook.com/HeatherMcCollumAuthor/). The winner will be e-mailed a $150 gift card to the online store of their choice!

I don’t have a Halloween costume this year. Not doing anything. Staying home doing our normal Saturday (pizza—homemade and movie).

I haven’t dressed up in quite a while, but the last time I did was as Professor McGonagall. My other was my Native American regalia. I was working as a children’s librarian so figured a bit of education as well as connecting to favorite books were good ideas.

Also, I don’t celebrate Halloween, so I don’t have a go-to costume. But, I do have a flapper costume from HRR that I could dust off in a pinch. 🙂

I love Tim Tams too. I used to live near a grocery that sold them. Now I can’t get them where I moved. I always dressed up as a witch on Halloween.

I love that you and your daughter dressed up as Harry Potter characters. I would love to do this with my kids. My favorite costume was dressing as Daenerys and my two boys being my dragons.
